About time!!

Rg1 approval was the most frustrating part of my final major project, a project that was running smoothly bar the huge inconvenience that surrounded getting approval to interview the individuals that I had chosen for my project. After weeks and weeks of waiting approval finally came through on Monday 25th April, interviews commenced that week. The biggest section of my project was interviewing, recording, transcription of the work, article writing, proofreading and then design of the articles in magazine format. Although I needed the content of the interviews for the overall magazine, the key was layout; layout of the paragraphs, layout of the columns, double checking for no 'widows' or 'orphans' in my writing, the photography that helped to tie the stories together and allowing to be an interesting experience for the reader as they take a creative and adventurous journey through the magazine.

Within the same week of receiving the rg1 approval our dissertation was due for submission Thursday 28th April. Research throughout my project was documented and included throughout my dissertation, this allowed for me to discuss the reasons for particular influences, why they have influenced my work and how would I incorporate this idea into my work. I noticed that a lot of influence was begin sourced from already existing magazines, not your typical magazine of gossip but lifestyle and creative magazines, they're approach to design and layout gave me the push to follow through with the ideas that I have had before barking on this project.
