R G 1 . F O R M
The rg1 form is a research governance and ethics form. The governance of research is defined as setting standards, defining mechanisms to deliver standards; monitoring and assessing arrangements; improving research quality and safeguarding the public, by enhancing ethical and scientific quality, promoting good practice, reducing adverse incidents, ensuring that lessons are learned and preventing poor performance and misconduct.
In order for me to begin the interviews that I require as content for my magazine articles I must fill out the rg1 form along with other forms that are relevant to my particular project and questionaries that are tailored for each individual or group. I have been gathering information and working on the rg1 forms since the beginning of February and I am waiting for my supervisors signature in order to send the form to be processed.
The process has been long and very frustrating I had a plan and timetable as to when I would like to have particular things achieved in order for me to stay organised but due to this form I have had to tweak my schedule many times. I can not begin my interviews until I receive full confirmation and go ahead from the rg1 committee.
